Dr Parvizi is currently Assistant Professor at Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia. His clinical area of interest includes pelvic, hip, and knee reconstruction. He dedicates three days a week to research. A substantial portion of this time is spent in the laboratory. |
He is presently an investigator on multiple projects in tissue engineering including development of self-protective smart orthopedic implants with tethered with biologically active agents. He is the Director of the Clinical research at the Rothman Institute and actively involved in conducting clinical trials and various outcome studies on joint replacement patients. He has received wide recognition for his clinical and basics science research. He is the author of numerous papers, book chapters, and books.

Francis Young-In Lee, MD, Columbia University, New York, NY
Francis Young-In Lee MD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Columbia University, New York. He is also Director of Center for Orthopaedic Research and Chief of Tumor and Bone Disease Service. Dr. Lee is a graduate of Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea. He completed his orthopaedic residency at the Seoul National University Hospital and at the New Jersey Medical School. He has fellowship training in Orthopaedic Research at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York; Musculoskeletal Oncology at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Children’s Hospital, Boston, MA; and Pediatric Orthopaedics at the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, Canada.
Dr. Lee’s clinical interests are musculoskeletal tumors, pediatric spine, pediatric orthopaedics and other related reconstructive surgery. Dr. Lee’s research interests include molecular biology and functional genomics of osteoclast, osteoblasts, cartilage and sarcoma.
