Examinations and Scoring Center

Scoring Center

The scoring center allows purchasers of scored and recorded examinations in print format to enter answers online and provides a score. Online completion of the CME form provides immediate CME credit.

Note: You must score above chance in order to receive CME credit for completing the examination. This is approximately a total score of 21 for the 2010, 2011, 2012 Special Interest examinations and 41 for the 2011 Orthopaedic Self-Assessment Examination (Scored and Recorded).

  • Scored and Recorded Online Examinations
Credits earned by completing the Scored and Recorded Self-Assessment Examinations can be applied to the scored and recorded self-assessment requirements as mandated by the ABOS Maintenance of Certification (MOC™) process and will count toward the CME credit requirement, as well.

Note: You must score above chance in order to receive CME credit for completing the examination. This is approximately a total score of 21 for the 2010, 2011, and 2012 Special Interest examinations and 41 for the 2011 Orthopaedic Self-Assessment Examination (Scored and Recorded).

  • Self-Scored Online Examinations
The Self-Scored Self-Assessment Examinations can help fulfill the CME requirements mandated by the ABOS Maintenance of Certification (MOC™) process, but cannot be applied to the MOC self-assessment requirement because these activities are not scored and recorded by the AAOS.

  • Independent Study Online Examinations
The AAOS no longer awards CME credit for independent study as a result of new requirements from the American Medical Association’s Physician Recognition Award Program.
