The Self-Scored Self-Assessment Examinations can help fulfill the CME requirements mandated by the ABOS Maintenance of Certification (MOC) process, but cannot be applied to the MOC self-assessment requirement because these activities are not scored and recorded by the AAOS.

This is a sample 10 item OITE test for residents and practitioners to use and familiarize yourself with the new web format. No information is retained on this exam, you may take it as often as you like to become familiar with the system. It is recommended that you view the sample test using IE 7 or higher on a PC or Safari 3.1 or higher on a Mac.
Part 1 Board Preparation and Review
The examination is only available to registrants and faculty of the Part 1 AAOS Board Preparation and Review Course #3352 being held April 10-14, 2013 in Chicago, IL. The examination is only available online. The last date to access the examination is August 1, 2013.
Credits earned by completing the Scored and Recorded Self-Assessment Examinations can be applied to the scored and recorded self-assessment requirements as mandated by the ABOS Maintenance of Certification (MOC) process and will count toward the CME credit requirement, as well.
Note: You must score above chance in order to receive CME credit for completing the Scored and Recorded Self-Assessment Examinations. This is approximately a total score of 21 for the 2011 and 2012 Scored and Recorded Self-Assessment Examinations, 26 for the 2013 Scored and Recorded Self-Assessment Examinations and 41 for the 2011 Orthopaedic Scored and Recorded Self-Assessment Examination.
