Prepare for the Part II Certification process Take a comprehensive look at the yearlong Part II Board Examination process. Use this special one-day course to begin your preparation for the 2011 oral examination with the help of Board certified Academy Fellows. From the exam application process to case selection, information collection, and oral defense, there are multiple deadlines and tasks that you must complete to attain ABOS certification.

Your faculty gives you an inside look at the entire board certification process through a combination of lectures, panel discussions, and mock-oral examination sessions, revealing the mistakes commonly made and the keys to successful examination preparation and a positive outcome. This course can help you get off on the right foot and make this yearlong process a smoother one for you. Bring your cases to ask the experts! Time is set aside to discuss your patient cases.

This course is designed to give you the knowledge and skills to:

• Obtain a clear understanding of the Part II Board Examination setting
• Feel confident in your case presentation technique
• Strategize to defend cases at the time of the oral examination
• Gain familiarity with common mistakes and develop plans to avoid trouble

Request for a refund must be received in writing in the Academy Office (AAOS, 6300 North River Road, Rosemont, IL 60018-4262) by June-19-2010. In all instances a cancellation fee will be charged. Beyond these dates, no monetary refunds will be issued. Instead, the tuition amount, less cancellation fee, will be credited toward another AAOS course within one year.

The Academy reserves the right to cancel a course thirty (30) days prior to the course date. Any person who has registered for the course will be notified by email and/or certified mail at the address noted in the AAOS member database. A telephone call will also be made to each registrant for whom a number is available. Persons whose registration is received after a course is cancelled will be notified by telephone, email or mail. Registration fees will be refunded in full. However, other costs incurred by the registrant, such as airline or hotel penalties are the responsibility of the registrant.
