From already selected and submitted cases to case defense, there are multiple steps that you must successfully navigate to attain ABOS certification. Focus your preparation with this special one-day AAOS course, as Board certified Academy Fellow explain the keys to a successful examination outcome, reveal common mistakes, and help you build plans to avoid trouble. Through a combination of lectures, panel discussions, and mock oral examination sessions, your faculty guides you through the examination process, giving you a keen understand of case presentation and defense. Bring your cases to ask the experts! Time is set aside to discuss you patient cases.
This course is designed to give you the knowledge and skills to:
- Obtain a clear understanding of the Part II Board Examination setting
- Feel confident in your case presentation technique
- Strategize to defend cases at the time of the oral examination
- Gain familiarity with common mistakes and develop plans to avoid trouble

Request for a refund must be received in writing in the Academy Office (AAOS, 6300 North River Road, Rosemont, IL 60018-4262) by June-19-2010. In all instances a cancellation fee will be charged. Beyond these dates, no monetary refunds will be issued. Instead, the tuition amount, less cancellation fee, will be credited toward another AAOS course within one year.
The Academy reserves the right to cancel a course thirty (30) days prior to the course date. Any person who has registered for the course will be notified by email and/or certified mail at the address noted in the AAOS member database. A telephone call will also be made to each registrant for whom a number is available. Persons whose registration is received after a course is cancelled will be notified by telephone, email or mail. Registration fees will be refunded in full. However, other costs incurred by the registrant, such as airline or hotel penalties are the responsibility of the registrant.
