Participation Requirement:
    Participants in Academy surgical skills programs must have completed or be currently enrolled in a residency program accredited by either the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). Surgeons from outside of the United States are required to have similar residency program credentials.

Practice and refine the latest techniques in elbow reconstruction
This hands-on skills course focuses on the insights and practical skills you need to anticipate problems, maintain control, and increase your ability to diagnose and treat all common elbow disorders. You’ll spend much of the course in the cadaver lab, practicing and refining basic and advanced elbow arthroscopic procedures, as well as medial lateral instability and repairs. You’ll also explore trauma treatments, contractures, and degenerative and inflammatory arthropathies.

This course is designed to give you the knowledge and skills to:

  • Perform hands-on techniques and clinical evaluation of common elbow disorders.
  • Broaden your spectrum of learning, from the basics of operative setup to advanced techniques.
  • Gain the most up-to-date knowledge of techniques for ligament reconstruction and trauma.
  • Execute techniques in arthroplasty for both trauma and arthritis.

Request for a refund must be received in writing in the Academy Office (AAOS, 6300 North River Road, Rosemont, IL 60018-4262) by September-25-2010. In all instances a cancellation fee will be charged. Beyond these dates, no monetary refunds will be issued. Instead, the tuition amount, less cancellation fee, will be credited toward another AAOS course within one year.

The Academy reserves the right to cancel a course thirty (30) days prior to the course date. Any person who has registered for the course will be notified by email and/or certified mail at the address noted in the AAOS member database. A telephone call will also be made to each registrant for whom a number is available. Persons whose registration is received after a course is cancelled will be notified by telephone, email or mail. Registration fees will be refunded in full. However, other costs incurred by the registrant, such as airline or hotel penalties are the responsibility of the registrant.
