You are about to sit for the most important examination of your career and the Academy will help you prepare.     Who should attend this course
    If you are a graduating resident preparing to take Part I of the Board Examination in the summer of 2010, this course is your examination study solution. Fourth year residents are also encouraged to attend, to give additional focus to your final year of residency. This course is also popular with Fellows interested in a general review.

    This course is designed to give you the knowledge and skills to:

    • Apply the differential diagnosis, treatment, prognosis of tibial lesions, hand lesions, sacral lesions, characteristic lesions, and soft tissue lesions to the young and adult patient
    • Recognize the most important features of bone, cartilage, nerve, muscle, and tendon/ligament, normal anatomy and physiology, and abnormal conditions
    • Identify the essential traumatic and non-traumatic spine and hand conditions
    • Apply the important diagnostic and treatment concepts in adult hip and knee reconstruction
    • Recognize the essential features of pediatric genetic, congenital, dysplastic, and traumatic conditions
    • Identify the import features of traumatic and non-traumatic foot and ankle conditions
    • Apply the testable systemic factors and emergency conditions in trauma care
    • Recognize the essential concepts in upper and lower extremity sports medicine

    Request for a refund must be received in writing in the Academy Office (AAOS, 6300 North River Road, Rosemont, IL 60018-4262) by April-21-2010. In all instances a cancellation fee will be charged. Beyond these dates, no monetary refunds will be issued. Instead, the tuition amount, less cancellation fee, will be credited toward another AAOS course within one year.

    The Academy reserves the right to cancel a course thirty (30) days prior to the course date. Any person who has registered for the course will be notified by email and/or certified mail at the address noted in the AAOS member database. A telephone call will also be made to each registrant for whom a number is available. Persons whose registration is received after a course is cancelled will be notified by telephone, email or mail. Registration fees will be refunded in full. However, other costs incurred by the registrant, such as airline or hotel penalties are the responsibility of the registrant.
