Who should attend Whether you are an experienced orthopaedics surgeon or orthopaedic resident, pediatric orthopaedic fellow, or an allied health provider, if your practice includes children or young athletes, this symposium prepares you to need the diagnostic, procedural, and management challenges of their care needs.

This course is designed to give you the knowledge and skills to:

  • Evaluate patients with hip or limb deformity and formulate the treatment plan
  • Compare and contrast various surgical and treatment protocols for managing problems in Cerebral Palsy
  • Effectively treat the modern "elite young athlete"
  • Apply a Ponseti clubfoot cast, perform various pelvic osteotomies, insert thoracic pedicle screws, interpret a gait analysis, perform hip and lower extremity osteotomies and apply external fixation, and many other pediatric orthopaedic techniques

Request for a refund must be received in writing in the Academy Office (AAOS, 6300 North River Road, Rosemont, IL 60018-4262) by November-25-2009. In all instances a cancellation fee will be charged. Beyond these dates, no monetary refunds will be issued. Instead, the tuition amount, less cancellation fee, will be credited toward another AAOS course within one year.

The Academy reserves the right to cancel a course thirty (30) days prior to the course date. Any person who has registered for the course will be notified by email and/or certified mail at the address noted in the AAOS member database. A telephone call will also be made to each registrant for whom a number is available. Persons whose registration is received after a course is cancelled will be notified by telephone, email or mail. Registration fees will be refunded in full. However, other costs incurred by the registrant, such as airline or hotel penalties are the responsibility of the registrant.
